Install Android 2.3.5 CyanogenMod7 on LG Optimus Black

Great news for owners of LG Optimus Black, an unofficial compilation AndroidGingerbread operating CyanogenMod 7 2.3.5 is available from the developer’s hand Arcee, RootzWiki Member Forums. According to Arcee, this collection was compiled from sources available in CyanogenMod CM7, which for those who do not know is a distributor of Android devices firmwares costumizable selected that provide better user experience and more stability.

  • The first step is to make sure you have root user access to your Optimus Black, if it is not the case, you can see the process (external guide in English) here.
  • Now when you have root access, refers to that by downloading the application from the Android Market Root Checker.
  • Download a free version of the application from the Android Market Rom Manager. This process does not require any of the characteristics of pay for this application, so the free is enough.
  • After the download run this application.
  • When you run, give ClockworkMod Flash Recovery is the first choice from the list.
  • Now select the appropriate model and hit Ok to continue the process.
  • After your PC lowers the build “CyanogenMod 7 2.3.5 Gingerbread Android custom ROM for Optimus Black” from here
  • When finished downloading the zip archive to build, connect your phone to your computer, mount the SD card and copy the downloaded file into it, do not put it into any folder.
  • Now unplug the phone from the computer.
  • Rom Launches Manager again and select the option “Reboot Into Recovery” found in Flash ClockworkMod Recovery tab for the phone to reboot.
  • Once your phone is restarted make a backup or backup your phone using the “Backup / Restore”
  • After backup done, erase the data on the “Wipe data / factory reset” followed by “Cache Wiping partition.” Use the up and down buttons to navigate between the volume recovery options.
  • After erasing is complete, use the “Install from SD Card to Zip flash / install Android CyanogenMod 7 Gingerbread 2.3.5 Custom ROM “
  • Your phone will automatically restart when the installation is complete, if you do not restart it manually using the “Reboot system now” in the application ClockworkMod Recovery.

Google Nexus One gets Android Gingerbrear 2.3.6

Google does not neglect its Nexus range. While Nexus S received an upgrade to 2.3.6 with fixes for Android Voice Search, now its Nexus One, also updates and improves the bug fixes and security patches.

Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 Update for Samsung Galaxy S2
