For those who never played and have no idea what I’m talking about, then I leave the game description and a video demonstrating how the new phones.

The central idea is to go Fruit Ninja slicing and shredding all the fruit that we appear in front and avoid the bombs and obstacles, our finger becomes a kind of “laser knife”to go uncurl the fruit on their way.

The Blocks Cometh for iPhone: Review and Walktrough

Sometimes I bring my professional dedication a bit ‘too far. Of course, spending hours and hours playing continuously with the ipod is a hard job but someone has to do well. Then there are games with ui is particularly hard to stop doing it: and it is the case of The Block Cometh. Put it this way: I wrote this review a few days ago, if this game I had not sucked the life from the moment I downloaded it.

To talk about the game we really want two words: The Block is a conversion Cometh very accurate (and as a story, a bit ‘controversial) of a title created in Flash. In practice, it is something very similar to the Incident, in its premises. Blocks of different caliber falling from the sky, and the purpose of the game is to avoid being crushed, climbing as high as possible. The controls are very normal: right, left, jump (and double jump) and shot to destroy the next block. And in a move both synthetic as it is brilliant (those little touches that make me crazy! E) the tutorial is incorporated into the game, because the base of our climb there are three signs skimpy four directions. Simple, but more difficult than it sounds: between glides, hits and jumps, the game gets fast and frantic to total heights of a few hundred meters you need a fair amount of skill. The Blocks Cometh is everything here.

Yet there are no words to explain what this game magnets so, what makes him a true obsession: boys, I see blocks that fall down and shake even now as I write, and I will be successful for two or three Titles in my life, at most. When I was a child and gave me the first Game Boy (it was 1988, how many good memories!), I went to bed and dreamed of falling blocks and fit perfectly. Here: Cometh The Blocks are with at this level.

And this despite some objective limits. Aesthetically, the game is quite nice, the “usual” pixel art that I personally love it. But we must recognize that it is a bit ‘string in the contents: a single setting, a single music (beautiful, but tiring in the long run) and a handful of characters to unlock a little at a time. Of course, some more scenario would not have failed, but the characters are a real godsend, because even unlock them is not simple and provides a significant stimulus to the player.

With a great marketing move that has already been mentioned elsewhere, Cometh The Blocks has teamed up with another game, just as pixelated, and just as brilliant as indie: League of Evil. From this alliance are not only new levels come out for the platformer Reviewed weeks ago, but also a host of new unlockable characters for The Blocks Cometh: if you commit enough you can play with the character of Agent League of Evil, or the kind Sith with a double lightsaber that you encounter an enemy in the later stages of the game.

But the move, in my opinion, the most brilliant of all was to make every single character: the choice is not only cosmetic, because each has its own style and special features that make the playability of the game different each time. The standard character, originally called Blockman is very good, with a decent average speed and a jump, which can become double. The agent is a bit ‘better, in terms of jump, but basically the same as in the rest. The Leaper jump a lot and has a super powerful attack but is slow as hunger. Operate each of these Gioppino is quite different and makes the game is always new.

The only drawback, but for a game like this is one of those in almost disfigured, are the controls: in a game so simple and so fast-paced, the controls are all, and the player relies entirely to their comfort and precision. While not to be frustrating, Cometh The Block, unfortunately, is not what I expected: more often than the controls right / left, and a little bit ‘uncomfortable will make you curse loudly, and you also have to deal with slips a bit ‘rogues and characters seemingly with a life of its own.

Mind you, I do happen occasionally and it does not affect the gameplay much, but it’s a sin to The Blocks Cometh lacks only this to be perfect. Remains the same inperdibile really a game, which I recommend heartily to anyone with an ICOS, of any kind!

The Blocks Comethis available on the App Store to 0.79 €
